Canada Ontario Immigration Agreement

12.7.7 In accordance with the objective and objectives of this Agreement, Canada will be open and transparent with respect to immigration agreements with other provinces and territories. At Ontario`s request, Canada will negotiate amendments to this agreement to provide similar treatment to Ontario, taking into account Ontario`s different needs and circumstances. 12.4.4 The Parties agree to promote immigration research, to consult annually on research priorities and planned research activities and, where appropriate, to cooperate in joint research initiatives. 12.1.2 The Agreement Management Committee (AMC) shall oversee the implementation of this Agreement, including the discussion and exchange of information, the management of dispute settlement and dispute settlement, the management of cooperation programmes and, where appropriate, decisions or recommendations on matters related to this Agreement. 4.2 As noted in Appendix A, prior to the consultations, Ontario may submit to Canada an annual plan for the nominal provincial program, which will be taken into account in the development of Canadian projections for Canadian immigration planning. and consult with Canada in the development of Ontario`s provincial nominal program plan, taking into account Canada`s role in national immigration policy and planning. 12.1.1 The CMA, with two Co-Chairs, the Assistant Assistant Minister, Citizenship and Immigration Division, Ontario Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration, and the Assistant Assistant Minister, Strategic and Program Policy, Department of Citizenship and Immigration, or their representatives, if mutually agreed, will be established to oversee the implementation of this Agreement. . . .
